OBITUARY - Wapello Tribune, Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa Friday, January 5, 1906:

Mrs. Sam Latta died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. McGill, northeast of Wapello, after an illness of about an hour. She suffered a stroke of paralysis. The funeral was held at the United Evangelical Church in Grandview last Sunday at 11:30 o'clock with interment at the Thompson cemetery.
