This should be John S. Wales son of Henry and Lavinia Wales, parents settled in Stephenson co. Ill. Had 4 sons, 4 daughters. Another son was Adam J. Wales 26 Sept. 1861-26 March 1943, the youngest of the family . Source death notice from Freeport Journal, 6/3/1938

JOHN WALES, FORMER RESIDENT OF YUMA, EXPIRES IN PUEBLO

John F. Wales, a former resident of Yuma, died Thursday of last week at Pueblo at the age of 86 years. His remains were shipped to Wray, arriving Friday. the deceased was a long-time resident of the county. He formerly farmed in the Vernon community, later moving to Yuma where he acquired considerable property in the town. He sold his interests here and moved to Wray where his wife died in 1927. He later married Mrs. Stella Wisdom of Wray who survives him.. He and his first wife had four children.
