Clinton Arthur Wales, son of John and Clara Wales, was born at Brighton, lowa, on September 18, 1876. He died at the Wray Community hospital on November 23, 1952, at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 5 days, following a month's illness.

Mr. Wales came to Colorado in 1886. He has farmed in this vicinity ever since that time. On August 2, 1901, he was married to Myrtle E. Zion at Vernon. Two daughters were born to this union. One daughter, Gladys Luella Wales, preceded him in death.

Besides his wife Myrtle, Mr. Wales is survived by his daughter, Marjory Wales of Denver; one brother, Emmett Wales of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Shively and Mrs. Maude DeVore, both of Wray, and several nephews and nieces.

The funeral was held in the Lockwood Mortuary at Wray on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. W.S. Ickler of the Presbyterian church officiating. Interment was at the Eckley cemetery.--Wray Gazette, Thursday, Dec. 11, 1952, Pg. 13
