Byron James Glover, beloved father, grandfather and friend, passed away April 6, 1993 after a prolonged illness.
Born January 22, 1903 to David Wallace and Sarah Ann Barber Glover in Farmington, Utah. Preceded in death by his free-spirited and loving wife, Ellen Stephensen Cannon Glover. Served a mission for the LDS church in the Northwestern United States from 1926 to 1928 under President Sloan. Married to Ellen S. Cannon in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, August 28, 1929.
Resided in Garland, Utah 1930 to 1936; Centerville, Utah, 1936 to 1961; Quincy, Washington 1961 to 1983; and Salt Lake City, Utah 1983 to 1993. Served in Centerville 2nd Ward bishoprics under Hugh B. Folsom and Marlow Fisher for many years. Served an LDS Stake Mission and held many teaching positions for the LDS Church.
Survived by his son, Byron J. Glover, Jr., Layton, Utah; two daughters, Gwen Lee Glover Kempner, Panquitch, Utah; and Jeanette Glover, Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Mildred Millard, Farmington, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great, great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10, 1993 at 2 p.m. in the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
