Gwen was born on November 1, 1933 in Farmington, Utah and passed away from natural causes on January 21, 2024 in Thorndale, Texas. Gwen was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. She graduated from Davis High School and was an accomplished dancer.

Gwen married Maurice Kempner on March 29, 1952 at the age of 18 years. She was the owner of Kempner Dance Studio where she taught dance for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother and grandmother throughout her life. She was a friend to all.

In 2019, Gwen moved to Texas to live with her son and his family. She enjoyed this time of her life as it was reminiscent of the time she spent as a youth on her family's farm. Gwen will always be remembered for her warm and genuine smile, her kind nature and her infectious laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Gwen is survived by her sister, Jeanette Glover and her sons, Maurice (Carol) Kempner and Byron Joel Kempner (Valerie), her beloved grandchildren, Ben (Joan) Kempner, Parley Glover, Karen Kempner, Aaron Kempner, Kristina Kempner, Danielle (Hayden McCabe) Kempner, Alexis Kempner, Chloe Kempner, Max Kempner and Matt Gonzales, as well as her great grandchildren, Evelynn and Leo, Benjamin and Angelica.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Byron and Ellen Glover, her husband, Emannuel Maurice Kempner and her daughters, Kim Glover and Michelle Kempner Bogart, her brother, James Glover and her grandson, Daniel Kempner

Services will be held on February 10, 2024, with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. and funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home in Riverton, Utah, with burial immediately following at the Centerville City Cemetery in Centerville, Utah.
