Arlie Dunavin

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Arlie Dunavin , 81, a resident of Grand Prairie, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2003, at his residence.

Arlie was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Hopkins County to Bob and Nellie Dunavin . Arlie served in World War II in the infantry from 1942 to 1946. He had retired from Northrup Grumman after 31 years. Arlie was a member of Eighth Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Merritt, Howard and Hazel Dunavin .

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Charline and son, Mark Dunavin of Grand Prairie.

Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel with Fred Heath and Dave Bentley officiating. Burial: 12:30 p.m. Monday at Seymore Cemetery in Sulphur Springs. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Donny Dunavin , Tim Hodges, David Gulley, Marvin Cherney, Vernon Ray and Dustin Ray.
