Susanna (Susan) was the fourth of five children {four daughters & a son} born to John Peter & Mary Anna (Athmann) Heinen.
--She also had two other half-sibling from her father's first marriage.--

On 11 July 1911, Susanna married John Alvis (John Jr.) Braun in Melrose, MN; he was age 24, she was 22.
