Henry Ames ABBOTT

Henry Ames ABBOTT, son of Charles and Louise ABBOTT, was born near Gage, Oklahoma, on October 24, 1913.

He was reared in the local community, attending rural school and graduating from the Gage High School.

On April 25, 1936, he was united in marriage with Adaline DICKEN, and to this union were born three daughters and two sons, Lenora, Larry, Kenneth, Beth and Meryl.

He was always active in civic affairs of the community, a helper wherever he was needed. HE had been the operator of the Railways Ice and Locker Company for the last ten years.

Henry became a Christian early in life and was a member of the Gage Methodist Church prior to coming to Shattuck, where he has had his membership for the last twelve years.

He departed this life November 1, 1953, at the age of 40 years and 8 days. He enjoyed and appreciated all the remembrances sent him, He leaves his immediate family, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. ABBOTT, three brothers, Archie of Pocatello, Idaho, Raymond of Arnett, Okla., and Paul of Shattuck, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Fern RIFFEL of Shattuck, and Mrs. Faye ROSS of Meade, Kansas.

There are many other relatives and many friends who will miss Henry and his willingness to serve his fellowmen.
