Almus was born in Mency, MO, to Grover Howe & Samantha Mannon; she had the following siblings: Elza Howe, Blufford Howe and Loy Howe (both buried at this cem.) of Zeb, OK, Bertie Howe, Mable Howe, & Audrey Howe McDonald of Zeb, OK.

She was 8 years old when her family moved from MO to OK on Ryder Mountain; it took them 13 days to make the trip in a covered wagon.

She married Willis Allen "Andy" Anderson (buried at this cem.) in 1933 and they had 2 sons: Frank Allen Anderson (buried at this cem.) & Billy Joe Anderson. She had 5 grandchildren: Debra Anderson Hinkle, Donna Anderson Alday, Delores Anderson McFarland, Wesley Anderson, & Debbie Anderson Riley. At the time of her death, she had 17 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker who raised cattle and was a former member of the Eastern Star; she liked to camp, hunt, and fish. She also served as a volunteer for the Muskogee Co. Election Board. She attended Crescent Valley Church and Midland Valley Church in Muskogee, OK.
