Elmer L. Rose, 91, of Scottsburg, Indiana died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at Scott Memorial Hospital.

He was born on October 20, 1920 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Zeb M. and Lola Frances (Broady) Rose.

Elmer was a farmer, a member of the Fairview Christian Church and a life resident of Scott County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive B. (Mull) Rose; two grandsons, Randy Rose & Jason Higdon and three brothers, Marion, Glen & Elson Rose.

Survivors include three children, Robert Allen Rose (Sue), Joyce Lee Higdon (Walter) and Judith Carol Owen (Jerry) all of Scottsburg, Indiana; five grandchildren, Joey Higdon, Jenny Surber, Melissa Lytle, Michelle Owen & Anthony Allen and eleven great grandchildren, Rachel, Mariah, Hannah, Alivia, Avery, Ava, Karson, Kendra, Tara Kaitlyn & Kara. Memorial Contributions: Scott County Relay for Life c/o Collins Funeral Home.
