Charles had at least one brother, Jesse S Ard who was 21 and living with his mother Annie at the same time.
In 1940 he and Frances now had another child, a son, Charles Jr, age 9, and they had moved out of his mother's house but only next door as she is listed as hoh in the household just before Charles and Frances. Charles' brother Jesse was no longer living with either household.
