Actor. He was a noted distinguished character performer who was featured in numerous film and television roles throughout his career. He began as a Radio announcer, then his acting career appearing in various films, such as "The Green Hornet" (1940) and "Parachute Battalion" (1941). After serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II, he returned to acting in films "The Crimson Key" (1947), "The Main Street Kid" (1948), "Lost Planet Airmen" (1949) and “At War with the Army” (1950). Continuing as a versatile film performer, he had roles in "Between Midnight and Dawn" (1950), "The Big Heat" (1953), "The Birds and the Bees" (1956), "Short Cut to Hell" (1957), "I Saw What You Did" (1965) and "Panic in the City" (1968). For television, he was a regular on the series, “The Lone Ranger”, "The Twilight Zone", “Navy Log”, “The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp”, “Perry Mason” and countless more.
