June 3, 1915 - Dec. 5, 1991
Louis E. KELLY, 76, Rt. 6, Rochestr, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Hopital,
shortly after admission. He had been in failing health for 18 months.
He was born June 3, 1915 in Kokomo to Barney R. and Ora JONES KELLY, and had
resided in the Rochester community most of his life. On Sept. 26, 1936 in Fulton County he
married Louise E. WINDBIGLER, who survives. He retired in 1977 after 27 years with Sealed
Power Corporation.
Surviving with his wife are seven daughters, Mrs. Lester (Patricia) EDINGTON,
Rochester; Mrs. Clarence (Mary) DOWNS and Mrs. William (Barbara) SNAY, both of
Logansport; Janet KELLY, Evanston, Ill.; Jean KELLY, Elkhart; Mrs. Roger (Elaine)
ALDERFER, Tippecanoe, and Mrs. Tim (Evelyn) BARTON, Mentone; four sons, Paul R.
[KELLY], California; James L. [KELLY], Logansport; Douglas R. [KELLY], LaPorte, and Brian
W. [KELLY], Ekhart; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-gradchildren, and two sisters, Frances
ROSENBAUM, Knox, and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) WINTERROWD, Rochester. Preceding in death
were two brothers, Clyde and Eugene [KELLY], and a half-sister, Alice TURLEY.
Private services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester,
with the Rev. C. Allan HAZEN officiating. Burial will be in the Citizens Cemetery, Rochester.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the American Heart
Association.
