James McGinley Dies in North Platte Hospital

A useful life ended with the passing of James E. McGinley who died at St. Mary's hospital in North Platte on Tuesday morning, November 26, 1946. James E. McGinley, son of Mr. and Mrs. John McGinley, early settlers of this community, was born at Dunbar September 30, 1866. Later the family moved to Douglas. His life work was farming and stock raising. He married Miss Helen Stetter of Tecumseh who passed away in 1920, leaving 5 small children, the youngest being a baby a few weeks old.
Mr. McGinley leaves the following relatives to mourn: Children, Mrs. Scylas (correct - Cyril) (Mary H) Winkler and John McGinley of Lexington, NE., Mrs. Ralph (Barbara E) Roach of Palmyra, NE., and Mrs. George (Margaret) Dorsch and Mrs. Betty Stoll of Oakland, CA., a brother, George McGinley of Ogallala, NE.; sisters, Mrs. P. F. (Francis J) Nestor of Tecumseh, NE., Sister Mary Hermana (Jessie Isidore) of Sacred Heart Convent of Boone, IA., Mrs. Harry Doran of Lincoln, NE., Mrs. James McCarthy of Unadilla, NE., and Mrs. Joe Blake of Cook, NE. and a large number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the Catholic church at Douglas on Friday morning.
