BALLARD, Nancy E., 42 of Louisville passed away Saturday, October 29th at Baptist Hospital East. Nancy was loved & respected by so many people, from her family & friends to her co-workers at Baptist Hospital East, where she worked for nearly 20 years as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Northeast Christian Church, a church that has gained at least a few more members due to Nancy's daily demonstration of her unending love for God. Her children, husband, extended family & friends are all blessed to have had the opportunity to have her in their lives. Her life was dedicated to a deep faith in God & she served him humbly with a genuine passion throughout her life. Her kind face and glowing smile were a testament to her strength, courage and peace. She simply made a friendship easy. Nancy was a wonderful mother and wife and will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Conn; her grandparents, Arvin & Moda Arndell; and her grandfather, Delzie Conn. She is survived by her husband Dave Ballard; her children, Amanda Puckett and Adam Ballard; parents, Garland & Ann Conn; grandmother, Goldie Conn; mother-in-law, Darlene Ballard; brother, Dan Conn; step-brother, Jeff Hagerman (Debbie); step sisters, Joy Hibdon (Dan) and Terri Hagerman; and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Nancy's funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road with burial at Calvary Cemtery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 at Highlands. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or Gilda's Club.
