A resident of Port Allen, she passed away to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 60 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visiting at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Allen, on Monday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. David Allen, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Emile D. "Dawson". Pourciau; two sons, John P. Schittone, III, and Bennett A. Pourciau and wife; brother, Calvin C. Beaman and wife Rita; three grandchildren, Melanie M. Schittone, Brandon M. Schittone, and Augustus B. Pourciau; a very special aunt, Elma "Nan" Millet Gore; neice Tammy Beaman Milazzo and husband Mike; nephew Craig Beaman and wife, Michelle; nephew Chad Beaman; and great neices and nephews Kristi Milazzo, Mitch Milazzo, Chandler Beaman and Brock Beaman; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Iris Millet Beaman; Step-mother, Dorothy P. Beaman; Sister-in-law, Dorothy H. Beaman; very special uncle, Willie E. Gore; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was an avid gardener who loved nurturing her flowers, loved baking any sweet treat and cooking all the South Louisiana dishes. Her Saturdays and Sundays in the fall were always reserved for the Tigers and Saints. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association .
