Doris Jean Ward, 67, of Amarillo died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Brooks Chapel with Alan Burkhalter officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors, Canyon.

Ms. Ward was born Sept. 11, 1944, in McAlester, Okla., to Jack and Cora Ward. She was a member of Chaparall Hills Baptist Church, where she was a nursery worker for many years. She liked crafts and loved children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Ward; three brothers, Buck, J.N. and Lawrence Ward; and a sister, Joyce Green.

Survivors include her mother, Cora Ward of Amarillo; a sister, Louise Williams of Amarillo; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Chaparral Hills Baptist Church, 3300 W. Cherry Ave., Amarillo TX 79108.
