The body of Charles A. Thomas, 65, who died Wednesday of last week in Plattsburg, Missouri, following an illness with pneumonia, was brought to Villisca Sunday for burial. The deceased is a brother of John Thomas, who resides seven miles southwest of Villisca in Valley Township, Page County, Iowa.
Short services were held here at 1 p.m. Sunday at the grave and were conducted by Rev. G. A. Arthur, pastor of the Villisca Advent Christian Church. The body was brought overland from Plattsburg in a funeral ambulance from that city and was accompanied by Mrs. Minnie Kelter of Douglas, Arizona, a sister of Mr. Thomas.
Charles S. Thomas, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thomas who formerly resided in the Hawleyville vicinity, was born March 2, 1868 in Page County, Iowa. He is survived by one brother and one sister, John Thomas of Southwest of Villisca and Mrs. Kelter of Douglas, Arizona.
