An obituary for Mrs. Lena Strohl, wife of Ed Strohl, of Mattoon, states she had died in the Memorial Hospital from injuries suffered a week earlier. She was born Nov. 5, 1889, in Cumberland County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ferris.

Surviving were her husband and the following children: Jesse Strohl, Mrs. Grace Fladlane, Lonnie Strohl and Alvis Strohl, Mrs. Mildred Mundenall, Mrs. Beulah Kovey, Lawrence Strohl, Wayne Strohl, George Strohl, Nora Lou Strohl and Madona May Strohl; sisters, Mrs. Arthur Williams and Mrs. Robert Everett; half-sisters, Mrs. James Kingery and Mrs. Ollie Alexander; half-brothers, Lon Ferris, John Ferris, Alva Ferris, Phillip Ferris and Clarence Ferris of Neoga.
