Nancy Byng, 77, Abrams, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Woodside Nursing Home, Green Bay. Nancy was born October 3, 1934, in Green Bay to the late Herman and Myrtle (Krause) Rickel. She married George Byng Jr. on June 23, 1953. Nancy was vice-president and co-founder, with her nephew Brandon Byng, of Abrams Spotlight Productions, which runs The Byng Community Theater, Abrams, where she also enjoyed sewing costumes for the theater. Nancy was very active in the community and supported local programs and touched the lives of many. She was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Sobieski.

Nancy is survived by her husband George "Jim" Byng Jr., Abrams; a daughter Becky (Richard) Wolf, Abrams; a son Bruce (Mary Ellen) Byng, Abrams; a sister Betty Behnke, Peshtigo; two grandchildren Nick Byng, Allison (boyfriend Josh Hager) Byng. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law John Behnke.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple St., Abrams, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 28, with prayer services by Fr. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M.. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Sobieski. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11 AM at the church with Fr. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Stiles.
