Active LDS Church member and served as counselor in the Imperial 2nd Ward Relief Society. She was also a longtime member of their choir. Captain of the Centennial Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers for six years.Mother to six children, a daughter, Bonnie Elaine Burton, preceded her in death in 1934 at the age of 8. Survived by sons, Shirl M. Burton, San Jose, California; David E. Burton, Salt Lake City; R. Ross Burton, Canyon Country, California; James S. Burton, Salt Lake City; daughter, Mrs. Deon Burton Peterson, Chehalis, Washington; a stepson, Robert Price, Salt Lake City; stepdaughters, Mrs. Florence Price Money, Salt Lake City; Mrs. May Price Lesieur, Lake Havasu, Arizona; Mrs. Dorothy Price Cooms, Mission Viejo, California.
Funeral services on Monday, January 7, at 11 a.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
