Son of John Willard, Sr. and Sarah Jane (Colyott) Willard.

Father of Sadie, Belva, Nellie, Melvin, Ruth, Lillian, Pauline, John, Clyde, Othel, Harry, Louise "Sissy" and Leonard.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Victoria Mission Church near Cull, for Stonewall Jackson Willard, 75, who died Friday at his home near Cull after a long illness. Rev. J.R. Earls officiated. Hymns were sung by Hubert and Herbert Montgomery, Lloyd Redburn, Claude Montgomery, and Alice Barr. Pallbearers were Jimmy Anderson, Lloyd, Bud and Sonny Baughman, Albert Lawhon, and Raymond Beach. Burial was in Francis Cemetery under the direction of Robertson's.
Mr. Willard was born in Oregon County, MO on March 7, 1878, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Willard, pioneers of Oregon County. He married Rhoda Francis at Cull, MO on July 8, 1901, and they have continued to reside in the Cull community.
He had been a farmer all his life.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Victoria Mission.
Besides his wife, he is survived by six daughters, Sadie Baughman of West Plains, MO; Nellie Lawhon of Hoxie, AR; Lillian Whitaker of Knobel, AR; Ruth McCord of Tampa, FL; Pauline King of West Plains, MO; Louise Beach of Willard, MO; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; also four brothers and a sister, Fred Willard of Paragould, AR; Rev. Joseph Willard of Koshkonong, MO; John Willard of Rockford, IL; Squire Willard of Lebo route, West Plains, MO; Mrs. Dovie Quay of Sand Springs, OK. The brothers came for the funeral, but the sister was unable to because of illness.
Seven sons and daughters have preceded their father in death.
Those who were from out of town to attend the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Lawhon; Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Whitaker; Mr. and Mrs. Danny Kopp, Jimmie Anderson, Mrs. Arthur Lindberg, all from Hoxie, AR; Mrs. Ruth McCord of Tampa, FL; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Beach of Springfield, MO; Lloyd and Sonny Baughman of Mt. Pulaski, IL; Bud Baughman of Springfield, IL; John Willard and Marie Burke of Rockford, IL; and Fred Baughman of Paragould, AR.

RELATIONSHIP: His great-grandparents, Howell Nimrod Brewer and Mary Louisa (Short) Brewer, are my 3rd great-grandparents. His wife is my granddad's half-sister.
