Carolyn "Callie" Corwin, 100, of The Meth-Wick Community, died there Monday, Oct. 4, 1993, after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, by the Revs. Robert Dennert and Lloyd Brockmeyer. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a sister, Pauline Brockman of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are two nephews, Gerald Reed and Earl Hough; two nieces, Phyllis Hauer and Dorothy Watson; four step grandchildren, Ted, Terye and Tim Corwin and Pat Linserbardt; eight step great-grandchildren; and several grandnieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Callie was born Jan. 1, 1893, in Linn County, a daughter of J.W. and Martha Graham Snyder, and married Glenn Badham on July 15, 1918, in Linn County. He died in 1935. She then married Harold Corwin on Aug. 20, 1938, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1957. Callie was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and a life member of St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary.

Memorial donations may be given to The Meth-Wick Community Prayer Chapel.

The casket will be closed at all times. Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop.
