He married Ethel Marguerite Jones, daughter of Martin Eastwood Jones and Ella J. Ennis, at age 28 years.

This photo part of the Bowen Family Album Maintained originally by A J's sister, Lillie Mildred Bowen Jones, and after her death on October 15, 1993, by her daughter, Reba Irene Jones.
