She will be laid to rest at Summit Cemetery in rural Davenport.
She was born on November 7, 1924, in Davenport, the daughter of Charles Harvey and Cora Susan (Ade) Ellsworth. On March 2, 1944, she was united in marriage to Vernon Karl Riexinger in Bettendorf. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2001.
Lois was a devoted homemaker, wife, mom and grandma. She lived her life for the Lord and was remained active in the Baptist faith all of her life. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. For over 25 years, she taught in the Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Jenny Kennedy of Rochester, Minnesota; her sons, Glen Allen (Lietta) Riexinger of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Steven Ellsworth (Elaine) Riexinger of Rock Island, Illinois; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Dirksen of Bettendorf; her brothers, James Ellsworth in Colorado, and Robert Ellsworth, Bill Ellsworth and Dick Ellsworth, all of Durant, Iowa; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
In addition to her husband, Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Dick.
