Esther C. (Moe) Sherry, 91 years of age, passed away at her home Friday, Oct. 21, 2011. She was born in Weymouth and was a lifelong resident of the town. She was a graduate of Weymouth High School, with the Class of 1938. She was the retired owner of Nannas House, a home dcor firm which she enjoyed operating. She was adept at knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. She was known and appreciated for her intelligence and organizational skills. She was a homemaker devoted to her family. Esther was the beloved wife of the late James H. Sherry, who died in 2006. She was the loving mother of Margaret A. Estano, married to George R. Estano of Braintree and Patricia Jane Crear, married to James J. Crear of Pelham, NH. She was the loving grandmother of James Widdop and his wife Janet of Plymouth, Melisa Widdop and her fianc Matthew Fahey of Kingston, James Scott Crear and his wife Amy of Nashua, N.H., Christopher Crear and his wife Katie of Pelham, N.H. and Mike Estano and his wife Patricia of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren Caroline, Zachary, Kaylyn, MacKenzie, Chloe and Colby. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Walker of Weymouth and James Conrad Petersen of Rockland and Florida. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 870 Broad St., (opposite the U.S. Post Office in Jackson Square), East Weymouth,Tuesday, (tomorrow), Oct. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Gary |Blume, pastor of the Historic First Church in Weymouth (Congregational) officiating. Relatives and friends invited. Memorial donations may be sent to the Weymouth Food Pantry, 1189 Commercial St., East Weymouth, MA. 02189 and will be greatly appreciated. (There is a large parking area at the rear of the funeral home.)
