Henry was born in Somerset, PA and about 1840 he and his family moved to Mechanic Twp, Holmes Co, OH. His parents remained there and he went on and moved to North Liberty, St-Joseph Co, IN where he raised his family and remained the rest of his life. It is said that he was a shoe make by trade.
