Wm. Bradshaw, who came to this county and took up his residence on a farm two miles north of Ava, on his 38th birthday, died at that home Tuesday, June 7, 1921, at the age of __ years, 9 months and 25 days. Paralysis was the cause of death. He was stricken just the Saturday previous.

Mr. Bradshaw was born at Ivy Landing in Monroe county, Illinois, August 12, 1851. He and Miss Julia Chartrand were united in marriage at Ivy Landing August 27, 1850. They came to this county August 12, 1889, and settled on the home farm, two miles north of Ava. There they have since made their home.

Four children were born. They with the widow survive. The children are: Chester and Emmett Bradshaw of Ava, Mrs. Pearl Kehno (sp?) of Denmark and Mrs. Mabel Bradley of Cutler.

Besides these, four sisters and one brother are also survivors. They are: George Bradshaw of Fults, Illinois, Mrs. Malinda Monnett of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, Mrs. Malinda Mushbacher of Fults, Mrs. Josie Mzes and Ms. Jane Talbott, both of Farmington, Montana. Three other sisters preceded Mr. Bradshaw to the great beyond. They are: Mrs. Julia Goodman of Great Falls, Montana, Mrs. Suseline (sp?) Dietz and an invalid sister of Fults.

Funeral services were conducted at the home Thursday, June 9, 1921 by Rev. S. A. Teague and the remains were laid to rest in the Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
