Mrs. Nancy Cloyd Chapman, wife of James Lossen Chapman, of this place, died at her home on the 3, of Dec. with heart dropsy and paralysis. Her remains were intered in the family grave yard at MR A,M, Miller near here. She was 75 years, 8 months and 8 days old at her death and has been a devoted member of the Christian church for more than fifty years and in her dying hours prayed to die and said she was ready to go. Mr. Chapman is now in his eightieth year and is well and stout considering his age. It is a singular fact to know these good old people have raised nine children. The oldest being fifty-eight and the youngest thirty-eight years of age and all alive, they also have sixty-five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and only six deaths have occurred in these generations.
