Anna Ghere,75 of 321 Charlotte St.,Central City, died at 9:35 p.m. on Friday Feb. 21, 1992 at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born June 19, 1916 in East Sylamore, Ark., daughter of Cromer and Retta (Correll) Willoughby. She married Wilburn J. Ghere on Oct. 17, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was survived by her husband of 55 years; one son and six daughters; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marrie Carra and Mrs. Joyce Seiber. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Edna Grasher. She was a member of the Central City Baptist Church, Esther Class, and A.A.R.P........... Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Central City Baptist Church in Central City, followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
