CLIMAX Charles LaVern Adams, 81, of Scotts, died Sunday afternoon in a Battle Creek hospital where he had been a patient for one day. He was born July 31, 1876, in Climax, the son of Charles and Ellen (Burdick) Adams and was married Sept 20, 1902, to Bertha Johnson. They observed their 55th wedding anniversary last year. Surviving are the wife; three sons. Merle of Ceresco, Clarence of Scotts and Ward of Battle Creek; a daughter, Mrs. June Bartos of Vicksburg and nine grandchildren.
