Mrs. Mary L. Mead, 67, wife of Edward E. Mead, 34 West Rittenhouse, died at her home Friday afternoon at 3:05 o'clock, following a year's illness. Born in Kalamazoo county, September 17, 1865. Mrs. Mead had lived In Battle Creek 42 years. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Ruth, and one son, Maurice of 190 Battle Creek avenue; two brothers, Bert and Lavern Adams of Scotts; two grandchildren, Philip and Mason Mead of 190 Battle Creek avenue. Private funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. The Rev. W. Hartman will conduct the services and burial will be made in the Gilson cemetery. Climax township.
