Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery for longtime Taft resident Ruth Eleanor Bentz, 74. The former pastor of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God, will officiate.

Mrs. Bentz was born in Wilsonberg, W. Virginia, on April 14, 1918 and passed away at her home in Bakersfield Wednesday morning.

She moved with her parents to Taft in 1921 when she was three years old. She graduated from Taft Union High School in 1935 and attended Taft College. She had moved to Bakersfield in 1991. Mrs. Bentz was a charter member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Taft.

Her survivors include three daughters, two brothers, three granddaughters, three great grandsons, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Friends are invited to call at Taft Funeral Home to pay their respects.

The Family has suggested memorial donations may be made to the Steve and Judy Garner Missionary fund through the Assemblies of God Church.
