Services for Melba Hunt Jones, 81, of Bartlett were held March 24 at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett with Rev Tommy Rosenblat officiating. Burial was in Davilla Cemetery. Mrs Jones died March 20, 2007.
She was born in Bartlett to Ivy & Millie Dursek Hunt and was a secretary for the Houston school district. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bartlett where she taught Sunday School and played piano for church services. She had lived in Bartlett the past 25 years.
Survivors include her husband Willis Jones of Bartlett; one daughter, Rita Morgan of Georgetown; one brother, Ivy Dean Hunt of Flatonia; one sister, Amil Jane Simmons of LaPorte; and 3 grandchildren.
