Funeral services for J. Frank Cockings, 66, of Madison, who died suddenly Monday afternoon, will be held at 12:30 pm today, Thursday, at the Roach funeral home in Dodgeville, and at 1pm at the Dodgeville Methodist church.
The Rev. Dennis Long, Montfort will officiate, and will be assisted by the Rev. Theodore Matthews, Dodgeville. Burial will be in the East Side cemetery, Dodgeville.
Mr. Cockings died while attending the funeral of a cousin in the town of Waldwick.
He had formerly farmed in that area and after his retirement resided in Dodgeville for about two years. He moved to Madison about four years ago.
Survivors include his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Van Cavanaugh, both of Madison and two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Gant and Mrs. Hattie Skinner, and a brother, Carl, all of Mineral Point.
