He was born Jan. 3, 1914, in East Prairie, the son of Harry and Effie Myrtle Roach Zook. He and Esther Duncan were married Dec. 8, 1961, at Benton.
He was a house painter, and member of the First Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Suvivors include his wife; three sons, Oliver Zook, Paul Martin and Forest Zook; two daughters, Mary Russell and Marlene Tidwell; a sister, Birdie Williams; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be hled Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Essex Cemetery at Essex.
