Birdie Mae Williams, 96, of East Prairie, died at 2:45 p.m. April 19, 2004, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born Dec. 27, 1907, in East Prairie, daughter of the late Harry and Effie Roach Zook, she was a lifelong resident of East Prairie, where she was a member of the Full Gospel Church.
On June 25, 1925, she married Gough Williams who preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1974.
Survivors include: three sons, Willie Williams, Finley Williams and Alton Williams; two daughters, Betty McGill and Judy Garrett; and 30 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Zook, Johnny Zook and Oliver Zook; and one sister, Mattie Moore.
Visitation was at Shelby Funeral Home, where services were conducted. Mike Johnson and Helen Kersey officiated.
Burial followed in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers were: Lee Zook, Jerry Zook, Billy Zook, Gary Zook, Jimmy Moore and David Moore.
Honorary pallbearers were: Jackie Moore, Elvin Zook, Chelvis Zook, Bobby Zook and Forest Glenn.
