Eva I. Ramsey, 92, Uniontown, Kan., died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at Fort Scott Mercy Hospital. She was born, April 23, 1906, in Missouri, the daughter of Matthew D. and Mary Frances Vieux Wilson. She married Loran Edward Ramsey, October 5, 1923, in Iola, Kian. He preceded her in death, Jan. 31, 1958.
..She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Uniontown.
..Survivors include three daughters, Julia Blythe, Uniontown, Kan., Edna Miller, Valencia, Calif., Nancy Loveall, Uniontown, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one sister, Florence Cosens, Mound City, Kan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter.
..Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, by the Rev. Joe Ketcher at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Uniontown, Kan. Burial was in the Uniontown Cemetery. Visitation was Oct. 27, 1998 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Memorials were suggested to the Uniontown Baptist Church or the Uniontown Methodist Church.
