Miss Maud Pryce, an old maid of 45, and Andrew Bozarth, a 71 year old widower, were married in 1914. He was the son of Reason Bozarth and Susannah "Susan" A. Bowles of La Grange. Maud had cared for her old father, Mr. Tom Pryce, over the years. She gave music lessons and played the organ at the Baptist church for many years. She wore a high collar with stays & a ruseler around her neck.
She helped raise Abner's grandchildren by his widowed son Carroll A. Bozarth when he returned to his father's home after his wife, Margaret Robinson Bozarth, died in 1923. Maud was much loved by his Carroll's children: Carroll Paul and Helen Margaret Bozarth.
