Crash Injuries
SEAMAN -- Mrs. Bertha E. Howard, 79 of Peebles Rt. 4, died at 1 P.M. Friday at Adams County Hospital, with death attributed to injuries she suffered in an auto accident on October 9, south of Seaman. Her husband, Edwin Howard, 82, was killed instantly in the accident.
Surviving are two sons, Ernest Howard, of Seaman, and Vernon Howard, of Hillsboro Rt. 2, six daughters, Mrs. Esther Gollihue of Franklin Furnace, Mrs. John O'Rouke of Waverly, Mrs. Edna Potts of Hillsboro Rt. 2, Mrs. Thomas Wilson, Mrs. Kenneth Ross and Mrs. James Worrell, all of Dayton; two brothers, James Blevins of Franklin Furnace, and Ezra Blevins of Lima, and a sister, Mrs. Daisy Elliott of New Boston.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 P.M. Monday at Lewis Funeral Home in Seaman, with burial in Berea Chapel Cemetery in Scioto County.
The accident occurred south of Seaman when a car driven by Howard collided with one driven by ***, 16, of Peebles Rt. 2.
