Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Luther Morrison, 86, who died at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the Davis County Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the Wagler Funeral Home by the Rev. John and Rev. Alma Lanferman. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
He was born April 16, 1889 to Thomas and Nancy Forsythe Morrison in Davis County. He married Margaret Vera Lepper in 1934. She passed away in 1948. He then married Martha Offill in 1949. She passed away in 1970. He was a lifelong resident of Davis County and was affiliated with the Pentecostal Tabernacle of Bunch. He was a machinist by occupation.
Survivors include four step-sons, Clifford Offill of Ottumwa, Doyle Offill of Bloomfield, Orphard Offill of Lemon Grove, California, Donald Offill of Valencia, California; three step-daughters, Laura Lepper of Cleveland, Ohio, Elaine Caughran of Grenada Hills, California, Lorraine Vaughn of Waco, Texas; 16 step-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, five brothers and one sister.
