AMMEN, Billie Tinsley, 80, of Roanoke, died Thursday, November 18, 1999. She was a member of Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church, where she was a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and an active member of the Women of the Church, and retired from Belle Aire Garden Shop as a designer. She was also a longtime member of the Dogwood Garden Club, and was preceded in death by her husband, J. Neville Ammen, Jr. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Karen Ammen, Roanoke, and Master Chief Tipton and Monica Ammen, Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Cassy Ammen, Alexandria; eight grandchildren; sisters, Flora Grasty, and Lorene Meador, both of Roanoke; her brother, William H. Tinsley, Dallas, Texas; a brother-in-law and wife, William and Helen Ammen.
