Alice was born on November 11, 1914 in Richfield, CO, the daughter of David Earl Shawcroft and Martha Eliza Smith Shawcroft.
Alice is survived by her son, Jimmie V. Guymon and his wife, Beverly from Southhampton, England, Calvin E. Guymon and his wife, Gail of Albuquerque, daughter-in-law, Karen Guymon of San Antonio, TX, brothers, John Shawcroft and his wife, Betty of La Jara, CO and Wade Shawcroft and his wife, Bessie of Highland, UT, now serving on a mission in Louisiana. The survivors also include ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Guymon and her oldest son, Michael Ned Guymon of San Antonio, TX, her parents, three sisters, Zina Shawcroft, Lucy Elizabeth Shawcroft and Hazel Westbrook and brothers, Amel and Earl Smith Shawcroft.
Alice was very active and a hard diligent worker all of her life. Alice operated an automobile shuttle business for the car rental agencies in Albuquerque and employed many other retirees to assist in the business. Her family and the many friends with whom she came in contact with, will sadly miss her.
Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ventura Ward Chapel, 11750 San Victorio NE at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2001. Bishop Robert M. Hall of the Ventura Ward will conduct the services. Viewing and visitation will take place in the Relief Society Room at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Alice will be laid to rest at Sandia Memory Gardens following the service. Pallbearers will be Lisle W. Smock, John A. Johnson, Beau DC Ritchie, Charles Troy Brown, Mark Lane Guymon and Matthew Ryan Guymon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contriubtions may be made to the charity of your choice.
