Married 2) Oct. 1946 in Heidelburg, Germany to Maria Ingaborg Burgmeier. They had two children. Bub and Inga divorced. Married 3) to Joyce Georgia Caddle. Bub was a highly reputed burl wood craftsman for more than twenty years. He was killed in a head on collision when he lost control of his car while enroute to Portland, Oregon, for a one man show of his burl wood creations. He was buried Sept. 24, 1974.
