Jeanette was born in Pilesgrove, Salem, New Jersey on August 26, 1905. She is the daughter of Horace G. and Jennie Goforth Lewis. In 1920, she was living with her parents and siblings on Yorktown Road in Pilesgrove, Salem, New Jersey. She married John Lemuel Green on March 21, 1928. In 1910 and 1920.

In 1930, they were living in Mantua, Gloucester, New Jersey were John was working as a farm laborer. At that time, they had two children, Irving L. Green and Olive May Green. I believe their other children are Agnes Shirley Green, Carl Nolan Green, and Kenneth Green. Jeanette died in Mullica Hill, Gloucester, New Jersey on September 7, 1999. She was buried in the Woodstown Baptist Burial Ground.
