Funeral services for Floyd Thompson, Jr. will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Humble Baptist Church of Glenmora with the Revs. Joe Wellman and B.G. Dyess officiating. Committal service will follow in the Willis Flat Cemetery of Glenmora under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Floyd, 68, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the Grace Home of Alexandria. He was born on July 20, 1943 in Elizabeth to Floyd Thompson, Sr. and Fannie Cloud McMuller.
His parents, Floyd Buddy Thompson and Fannie Cloud McMuller; and one sister, Juanita Thompson precedes him in death.
He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, two brothers, Steve Thompson of Glenmora, and Ernest Thompson of Colorado City, Colorado; three sisters, Doris Henry, Helen Bass, and Kris Johnson all of Glenmora; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
