Mrs. Shearer Dies Last Night
Services will be held from the Stone Funeral Home for Mrs. Eliza Shearer, 87, Kegomic, who died last night at Little Traverse Hospital. She had been in failing health for about two years. Rev. Robert Titus will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
She was born October 25, 1871 in Indiana and was married to Manson A. Shearer on November 7, 1893. The couple came to Petoskey and made thier home on a farm in Springvale township, where they resided until 35 years ago, when they moved to Kegomic. Mr. Shearer preceded her in death in 1939.
Survivors include two sons, Gordon R. of Petoskey and John M. of Traverse City; a daughter, Miss Edith M. Shearer of Petoskey; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
The body is at the Stone Funeral Home, where friends may call.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in tomorrow's News Review.
