Katri Elaine Sharp Chmielewski of Tuscola passed away at home on Thursday, October 13, 2011, after a 9 1/2 year battle with breast cancer.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church with Reverends Michael Berry and Jack Stephens officiating. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman, Texas.

Katri was born on September 29, 1958 in Seattle, Washington. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Barbara Sharp. Katri was a graduate of Jim Ned High School, Class of 1977. On May 23, 1981 she married Joseph Andrew Chmielewski of Orlando, Florida. Katri served as a Special Education Aid for Jim Ned ISD for the last 13 years. For those that knew Katri she was a kind, gentle, caring woman with one of the biggest hearts you've ever seen. To those closest to her, she was a rock, best friend, hero and a role model. She lived her life to its fullest, even through the toughest of struggles, one day at a time.

Left behind to cherish her memory of thirty (plus) years is; her husband, Joseph Chmielewski,; a daughter, Tiffany Nichole and husband Jonathan Davis of Canyon, Texas; a son, Michael Chmielewski of Tuscola, Texas; a son, Joseph Andrew and wife Charity Chmielewski of Tuscola, Texas; a daughter, Taji and husband Eric Sperber of Elk Grove, California; five grandchildren Eriq Chmielewski, Ryan Davis, Carson Sperber, Presley Sperber and Karley Sperber; one brother, Lary and wife Suzann Sharp of Tuscola, Texas; two nieces, Monica Sharp and Larli Sharp; and one nephew, Jared Sharp; one aunt, Rosiland Fuller of Flower Branch, Georgia; one uncle, Paul Bradham of Longview, Texas as well as numerous cousins.
