Raymond J Eckenrode of Kenosha WI, a former resident of Scranton, died Sat in Kenosha. Born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Charles and Teresa Eckenrode; came to Scranton when a boy. Graduated from Wyoming Seminary and Detroit University. While Scranton resident, well known as an track man, running with the Catholic Club track team. Played football and baseball at University of Detroit; played professional football in Detroit after graduation. Veteran of WWI; member of American Legion and Knights of Columbus in Kenosha. Engaged in construction business for a number of years and designed many of the large overhead bridges in Wisconsin. Survived by his wife Louise; brother, Charles M of Scranton Transit Co; three sisters, Mrs Mary LeStrange, Mrs PJ Gallagher and Mrs William H Gerrity, all of Scranton. Funeral and burial Weds in Kenosha.
