Funeral services for Ruth K. Smith, 40, of County Road, Y, Leipsic, were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. Dave Cottrell officiated. Burial was in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.
Mrs. Smith died at 9:50 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 1988 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She had been ill for the past year.
She was born August 22, 1947 in McComb to Francis and Minnie (Beck) Hermon, and they survive in Deshler. On February 5, 1972, she married Jeff Smith, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Marie and Rebecca Loraine, both at home; and a sister, Nancy Harmon, Findlay, OH.
Mrs. Smith was formerly employed as a beautician at Vogue Beauty Shop in rural Leipsic. She was a member of Belmore United Methodist Church and the Oakdale Missionary Society of the Church.
